Client Case Study - Leading Provider of Financial Market Infrastructure Services

Client Challenge

Our client, a financial market infrastructure group, settles domestic and international securities transactions, covering bonds, equities, derivatives and investment funds and provides securities services to financial institutions located in more than 90 countries with over 3,500 employees.

It required a PSL of agencies to support it’s  multinational recruitment strategy, streamline payroll operations, and manage contractor compliance across three key European hubs (London, Paris, Brussels). The company faced challenges including:

  • Navigating complex employment laws across the UK, France, and Belgium.
  • Ensuring security-cleared personnel for sensitive financial systems.
  • Managing cross-border payroll and tax compliance.
  • Scaling recruitment quickly for technology transformation projects.

Due to the highly regulated environment, they required suppliers who could provide a quality service, to the highest professional standards and deliver excellent value for money.

Our Solution

We were selected as one of five PSL members and established an Account Management team with significant experience of working in multiple European locations, and intimate knowledge of local labour legislation and a track record of ensuring compliance.

The team worked closely with the client’s stakeholders to ensure that we could meet all the service requirements. This included managing compliant payroll processing in GBP, EUR, US$ and local tax jurisdictions, ensuring seamless onboarding with digital documentation, right-to-work checks, and local employment law adherence, and providing advice and guidance on all aspects of local employment law.

We offered compliant umbrella solutions for contractors through our partners in France and Belgium, reducing administrative burden on Euroclear, handling contract insurance, renewals, and terminations with full audit trails and SLA tracking, ensuring GDPR compliance and reduced co-employment risks through robust documentation and legal frameworks.

Value Delivered

We provided the client with 100% compliance with local employment and tax regulations. We improved contractor retention through streamlined onboarding, through-life management and rapid payment cycles, and increased operational efficiency by providing a single point of contact for recruitment, payroll, and contract hosting functions.
