Client Case Study: American Multinational Technology Company

Client Challenge 

Since 2003, LA International has supported this American multinational technology company, initially as a strategic supplier to its National Security customers. Our success in this area led to our expansion across their UK Public Sector Cluster as a preferred supplier. 

In 2023, the client launched a supplier rationalisation programme to improve efficiency, reducing their UK Preferred Supplier List (PSL) from over 30 suppliers to just three. This was a significant shift, given the complexity of their requirements, ranging from diverse technical and functional roles to urgent, security-cleared (SC and DV) resource needs across the UK. Following a competitive process, LA International was selected as one of the three core suppliers in the new model. 

 

Our Solution 

To meet the increased demand and responsibility, we expanded our dedicated Account Management Team. Led by a Senior Account Manager with over a decade of experience in high-volume recruitment, the team is supported by our Flexible Resource and Academy Team to ensure agility and scalability. 

In addition to our PSL elevation, we were chosen as the sole partner to deliver the client’s Aggregation Project. This involved the seamless transfer of 110 contractors from outgoing suppliers. Our Transition Project Manager (TPM) conducted a full discovery exercise to map the contractor landscape, gather supplier and resource data, and develop a detailed, client-mandated transition plan.

The TPM engaged directly with all suppliers and in-scope resources to introduce LA International, clarify contractual and payment processes, and establish ongoing governance and service review protocols. 

Within the first 12 months, we deployed over 320 resources, more than 80% of whom required SC or DV clearance, across locations including London, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, and West Country.

Our streamlined approach accelerated delivery across key end-client accounts. The client’s trust in our capabilities was demonstrated through the award of their largest contingent workforce transition to date. This project delivered over £1 million in annual cost savings, with zero attrition, ensuring uninterrupted service and full business continuity.
